How to use O2 Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. O2 Tablet is to be taken with food.Taking it empty stomach can cause stomach upset.

How O2 Tablet works

O2 Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Ornidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

• Alcohol

  O2 Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).

• 

• Pregnancy

  O2 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

• 

• Lactation

  No information is available on the use of O2 Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.

• Driving

  Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

• 

• Kidney

  O2 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of O2 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

• Liver

  O2 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of O2 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
